As a purchaser of any commodity it has to be reassuring to know that whatever it may be that you are purchasing is the subject of stringent and ongoing testing, such is the case within the composite door industry we have “Security by design” and “PAS 23 /24” to name but two which are specific to door manufacturers.The security of any door can be compromised by the choice of locks and unsurprisingly this is an industry applies even more stringent testing to their products than are utilised for doors.

The latest standard utilised by lock manufacturers is the T007 1-3 standard approval to which is recognised by the issue of an appropriate BS Kitemark, can now offer home owners a composite door and lock with the highest level of security, the coveted TS007 3* accredited BSi Kitemark.

In order to achieve this standard the door uses Yale’s Superior cylinder and Platinum handle combination for which the cylinder is Kitemarked to TS007 1* and the armoured Platinum handle which is Kite marked to TS007 2*, giving the door/lock combination the 3* rating, the highest available. The additional security loses nothing in style as the handle is available in both PVD polished chrome and polished gold manufactured from marine grade stainless steel they are extremely corrosion resistant and also come with a 10 year mechanical and surface finish guarantee
